Nour Jamal: A Journey To A Safer Life? 8.-11.6.2017


Asbestos Art Space is hosting an exhibition of the Iraqi artist Nour Jamal.

Nour Jamal is a painter and photographer born in the historical city of Kirkuk. His works reflect his own life experiences heavily impacted by desperation, and seek for a safer life.

The artist is living now in Helsinki and is afraid to be sent back anytime. He wanted to have this exhibition to show people how refugees struggle on their way, runnig from danger to danger.

"We are not safe and struggle yet to fight for our rights. We are defently not safe."
